The art2navigate

art2guide is intensely working on navigation guiding systems which will get rid of obstacles and barriers.
Nowadays, approximately one third of the population is restricted in mobility or sensory perception on account of handicaps or simply by the age. The barriers in the daily life – especially in buildings, railway stations etc. – are as different as the people who have to face them. art2guide – in cooperation with the Fraunhofer IIS - is developing new possibilities to help handicapped people to facilitate admittance to the participation in the social life.

Our task is to develop precise audible navigation systems and to accompany handicapped people without any doorstep to their destination.
Where construction works bring an end to normal orientation supports, art2guide offers new ideas:

-By the use of audio visual media – defined on the respective sensorial abilities of the target group.

-A unique multi-touch surface, which enables us to offer an intuitive handling especially for handicapped people.

-By a modern navigation technology, which is able to locate points and submit information also in buildings and here even on parallel levels.
